About the day
Why ESA convenes an ISV Day
The ISV Day is a dedicated event to discuss issues of relevance to European independent software vendors. Discussion usually centres on the European policy and business questions our members raise most often through their Workgroups, from interoperability to intellectual property to the digital skills gap.
In the recent past, Commissioner Reding invited the industry to share its concerns in light of a forthcoming “Software Strategy,” expected to take shape later in 2008. The Association has stepped up to respond to that request and is preparing a whitepaper for the Commissioner. Because of the weight of that task, ESA has built this year’s ISV Day entirely around the whitepaper’s themes — trade barriers, intellectual property, e-skills and the future of the software internet.
Every session below feeds directly into that whitepaper. If your organisation has a position to contribute, the fastest way in is through ESA membership, or you can send input directly via our Contact Us page.
