
The Association holds and plans a number of public events. Additionally, it holds board, executive committee and workgroup meetings where the running of the association and decisions about
policy and best practice are discussed.

The 3rd European ISV Day put together by the European Software Association took place in Brussels on 27 May 2008. The event focused on the Association’s contribution to a EU Software Strategy in the form of a White Paper. Presentations and more information available here.
- European Information Security Awareness Day – 8 April 2008 – Brussels
The BSA, with the support of the European Software Association, organised the second European
Information Security Awareness Day on 8 April 2008 in Brussels. This eventwas intended to simulate the ICT’s sector culture of security and to provide a forum to discuss on ways to raise security awareness, exchange views on recent developments and reflect on most effective approaches.

The event, held at the Institute of Directors, gathered 20 members and contacts, including
our network partners BASDA and Intellect. Participants heard speeches in "options for
protecting your Intellectual Property Rights as you grow your business across Europe" by
Andrew Shepherd of Ernst & Young, and Vincent Smyth of Macrovision.

The European Software Association attended the 2nd European ISV Convention - 6 to 8 February 2008, with a members dinner on 6 February, keynote speeches by our Chairman and Vice Chairman on 7 February on "Growth in Europe - How to make your ISV a success", and Association presence throughout the event.
